On October 22, the final of the 16th National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Vocational Skills Competition (Student Group) was held at Mongolia Vocational College of Chemical Engineering.Leaders Zhao Jungui attending the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Competition Organizing Committee, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation; Shen Lei, Member of the Competition Organizing Committee and Director of the Chemical Industry Vocational Skills Appraisal and Guidance Center; Ji Xiaochun, Vice President of the Mongolia Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association; Han Limin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Mongolia Vocational College of Chemical Engineering; and Feng Qiang, First-Class Investigator of the Vocational and Adult Education Division of the Department of Education of Mongolia Autonomous Region, among others.Also present at the opening ceremony were leaders and team leaders from all participating units, all referees, competition technical support units, media journalists, as well as 36 teams from 15 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country.The opening ceremony was presided over by Shen Lei, Director of the Chemical Industry Vocational Skills Appraisal and Guidance Center.
The competition was hosted by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, and co-organized by the Chemical Industry Vocational Skills Appraisal and Guidance Center and Inner Mongolia Vocational College of Chemical Engineering. It is also supported by China Chemical Industry News Co., Ltd., Mongolia Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association, and other organizations.By building a high-level platform for skills competition, the contest provides vocational college students with a stage to demonstrate their talents, surpass themselves and strive for excellence. It gives full play to the important role of vocational skills competitions in talent selection and training, promoting the integration of industry and education, and serving the development of the industry.The event has fostered a good atmosphere of “achieving success through skills and serving the country with skills”. It has promoted learning, training, evaluation and development through competition, providing strong talent support for the high-quality development of China’s petroleum and chemical industry.
At the opening ceremony of the competition, Vice President Zhao Jungui emphasized the importance of skilled talents for the chemical industry—a pillar of the national economy and a key arena for scientific and technological innovation. After that, Han Limin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Mongolia Vocational College of Chemical Engineering, delivered a speech on behalf of the host institution. Jiang Yuhe, shared her journey to success with the theme: "There are no geniuses who achieve a sudden turnaround, only keep working hard". Meng Hongping and Yu Shupeng took oaths on behalf of all referees and participating contestants respectively. Ji Xiaochun, President of the Mongolia Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association, drew the official competition questions on behalf of the organizing committee.
The Final of the 16th National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Vocational Skills Competition (Student Group) includes two core events: Chemical Inspector and Chief Chemical Operator, covering theoretical, simulation and practical operation modules, where all participating teams compete on the same stage. As a co-organizer of this competition, Mapada provided the core testing equipment for the Chemical Inspector event—the UV-1800PC-DS2 UV-Visible Spectrophotometer.With its high precision, stability and easy operation, the instrument guaranteed the smooth running of the competition and built a fair and professional competitive platform for all contestants.
As an important event in the field of vocational education in the industry, the students display their skills, exchange and learn from each other.
Through the event, Mapada show the direction of technologies to the industry, promoting the development of the petroleum and chemical fields towards intelligentization and high efficiency, which conform to the strategic needs of high-quality industrial development.
