From November 15 to 17, 2025, the final of the 2nd Food and Drug Quality, Safety and Testing Technology Competition of the 2025 Belt and Road & BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition was successfully finished at Hunan Biological and Electromechanical Polytechnic.
The event was hosted by the Chinese Council of the BRICS Business Council, the Belt and Road & BRICS Skills Development International Alliance, and the Belt and Road & BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Training Center of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST); co-hosted by the China Invention Association and the Center for International People-to-People Exchanges of the Ministry of Education; undertaken by the Skills Development Working Group of the BRICS Business Council (Chinese Side); and co-undertaken by Shanghai Mapada Instruments Co., Ltd., Oriental Simulation Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., the National Inspection, Testing and Certification Vocational Education Group, and Beijing Zhongda Huayuan Certification Center Co., Ltd.
The competition focuses on food and drug quality & safety, covering three major areas:
food microbiological testing, food physical and chemical analysis and pharmaceutical quality analysis.
Through comprehensive whole-process evaluations including theoretical assessment, practical operation competition and data processing. It comprehensively tests the participants’ professional skills and professional literacy.
Participants from all over the country have demonstrated the outstanding training achievements of China’s vocational education system in the field of food and drug safety. By practical and professional competition design, the contest has promoted the integration of industrial technical standards and talent training models.
As a co-organizer of the special competition, Mapada provided high-precision instruments and comprehensive technical support. Mapada’s M650DS UV-Vis Spectrophotometer has been designated as the official technical platform for the Pharmaceutical Quality Analysis Module for two sessions.
With its high stability and precision, the instrument offered reliable support for participants to complete tasks including Quality Analysis of Paracetamol Tablets. During the competition, contestants conducted sample testing and data analysis via the M650DS, demonstrating their practical skills and instrument operation proficiency.
